40 Days of Psalm 91 — Day 4

“He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.” Psalm 91:4

Beloved,

Your soul is satisfied with Christ’s Love — for it pours out like rain in your life.

In the distance, there is a silhouette against the heavens. It is dark against the sky, but something within you senses the good within it. It comes closer, and you realize it is an eagle soaring on the winds.

The moments that follow are unbelievable, as the eagle comes closer — and you realize the size of this bird. Its wingspan stretches out further than you have ever seen before.

But its size does not hinder its soaring ability, as it easily rides the updrafts of the earth.

Still it draws near, and the wingspan is now — city blocks long.

And then a voice, “He comes for you.”

There is comfort in these words — for the Lord covers you with His Feathers — and nothing can harm you. You are hidden in Him.

The Refuge before you, blots out all other things — the earth even recedes from His Presence — and you are left alone with Him, your Bridegroom.

In these days, persecution will come and difficulties will arise from many directions, but know that peace is just a Breath of God away. Stress and Anxiety have no place in the Kingdom of God — His Hand is over you and you will not fall.

When John the disciple leaned upon Jesus chest — he was quick to understand that this is where he needed to be, the protection — even though at that moment, He had not gone to the Cross yet.

It is an intimate place, of His Love showered down on you.

Let Him sing over you in this moment — allow all of your defenses to fall away — for He is the Great Defender and Deliverer.

He will lift you up, “as on eagle’s wings. . .”
