be the Ruth
Ruth 1:15–17 “And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.”
Beloved,
Carry this truth deep within your heart. There the enemy cannot touch it, and the enemy must submit to this. Such is the love you hold for the Father and His son Jesus, fostered by the Holy Spirit. You have been grafted in to the vine, that releases such life to you and creates in you a desire for more of God. You are carried through austere places, and your feet will be set in a high place. Let your heart lead you throughout this land, until you have arrived at the place set apart for you, by His hand. For you have been given eternal life, and you are grateful for such a thing as this. It was at no cost to you, but the reverence you have established for the Holy, brings you to the threshold of the King.
There is a Lion beyond the door, that came as a Lamb and rescued you from your pain. He has the marks of the Cross upon His body, and He has endured all things in the process of giving you life. For this, you praise God and thank the Father for having sent His Son Jesus. Even if you were the only one left on earth, He would have still given His life for yours. It is in this exchange, this incredible feat that recognized you as His child, that He transferred the legacy of His Kingdom into your hands. You are not alone in this, for sisters and brothers on every side have also given their lives in exchange for this prize, this opportunity to exist in His presence, under His shadow.
He gave all, that all might live. Make your way through the door, and hold nothing back. Let every hardship, sin, wasted moments, and struggle that you have confronted be given to Him, and He will bring beauty from those ashes. It is a consuming Love, this Fire that burns within your chest. It renews you every morning, with the coming of the sun, at the reading of His Word. It is your food, this manna that rains down upon your head. These are promises that can never be revoked, the fuel that feeds the fire is the Word that became life. It is living inside of you, and every promise rides there, breaking bread with you, and causing your stomach to yearn for more.
We are fostered by the Holy Spirit. Like a plant that has been transplanted into fertile soil, so we too, have been uprooted and placed in holy ground. Our call is to become fruitful and exist with Him, doing the work that you see the Father doing. Like an apprentice who sees the master craft the bowl in the flames, and expending His breath to fill its void, you too can do likewise. It has been said many times before, His exhale is your inhale. Breathe upon those that have believed and heal their pain, and set them free from bondage, carrying them when necessary. Those transgressions of yesterday have been removed, as far as the east is from the west.
Be the Ruth that clung to Naomi.
