1 John 4:20,21 “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”

Beloved,

We give Christ all the praise, for the Lord is worthy.

Step away from the things of this world, and find that place where you are at the feet of the Lord. Humble yourself and deny that which the world offers. Break with earthly habits, and take on the fullness of who Christ says that you are. Work while there is still light, for the darkness will be sure to come when we least expect it. It is critical for that morning watch, that some would call the quiet time, to be established. Time spent with the Lord will affect your entire day, providing wisdom in the midst of controversy, when struggles come. You are sure to be the victor, no matter the outcome. What the world sees as success is only a glimmer of the truth, a truth that beckons you to go deeper, further than you ever have before. It is the Kingdom of God that calls you.

Death has no sting in the quiet place, and life is lifted high so that all might share in its celebration, receiving joy that provides strength. That first commandment, to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, fulfills your life letting you come to a place where all that surrounds you is of value. You will see that neighbor as more than just someone you greet every now and then, but the man or woman, that is more beautiful than diamonds. Jesus on the Cross is the lead example of loving your brother or your sister without thought of self. When he speaks of picking up your Cross, it is the selflessness that carries the weight of heaven. It is an attitude of laying down your own life for that of others.

We are more than conquerors. Holy Spirit leads us to the Cross and then helps us to understand the enormity of the process. But it is us that must regain the Kingdom, through a choice of calling Jesus, Lord. This humility in us, that of giving ourselves over to another, when inside of us demands more of the world’s offering. What the world gives in return for your life is only temporary, and will dissolve into nothing at the end. While we are still on this earth, our heart must be totally focused on Christ. Everything else will come into submission, without worry, without heartache. We are Kingdom representatives, bent on bringing heaven down to earth, not for personal gain, but that we would overcome that mountain before us.

Strike out on the quest! Be the one that insists of the Lord to walk with Him in the cool of the evening. Wake up early enough to meet Him, before your earthly day is underway. Take the time, whether minutes or hours, to be with Him and ask God the deep questions. He will answer. He will provide you with the food necessary to win the hearts of man to the Kingdom. Your day will be like no other. There will still be struggles, but the Righteousness, and the Peace, and the Joy will overcome them. Wisdom will flood your thinking like never before. Rest will come when you lay your head against that pillow at night. And Joy, what Joy will flood your soul. Laughter will become the tool necessary to break the enemy’s back, and set the captive free. You are called to worship, to pray, to commune with the only supernatural God. Lean into Him and not away. And be sure to love your neighbor, he or she might just be the one praying for you.
