But you do
1 Kings 10:9 “Blessed be the Lord thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the Lord loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.”
Beloved,
It’s going to be worth it. Your worship, your praise of the King brings him glory and joy to His face. You are his child, his son or daughter that seeks His presence through His Spirit. You have entrusted your life into His hands, and His will. Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and strength. In the midst of your day, the Lord walks with you and talks with you, teaching you the mysteries of Heaven. You have reached out to Him, and his promise is to draw near. Your recognition of Him as Lord is not of your own doing, but that of the Father who has revealed Him to you. Like Peter, you declare Him to be the Son of the Living God. And He has never failed you. You endeavor to follow His example by reaching out to those that are lost and dying, caring for the widow and orphan.
As you cross valleys that take much of your strength, and exhaustion takes its toll on your flesh, He will bring refreshing to you. He picks up all your pieces and puts them back together, better than before. You are made new every morning. Even when your identity becomes lost in the chaos, He knows where to find you. It becomes a matter of faith and trust, but not of your own strength, but in His power, His love. And every encounter with Him, becomes like finding love for the very first time. This love grows within your heart and frame, becoming rooted like a mighty tree sinking its roots deep until it finds that orifice, that wonderful life giving river filled with water to meet your needs. But it is beyond that, He finds more than just your needs, He feeds your dreams. This friend in heaven, the Lord of all things, takes time in His hands and pours out a devotional love like oil upon your head.
This love grabs you in the heart and you are never the same. He shares intimate moments with you that are filled with eternity, and nothing is ever the same. He curves the universe with His hands and brings you back to Him in ever and ever more increasing understanding, growing your knowledge and wisdom, helping you become more like Him. For we were made in His image, and each of us, you are more precious than silver, more valuable than gold, and more beautiful than diamonds. You have become and ever will be that pearl of great worth, that He gave everything for. Who is this Lord, but the only God in Heaven, becoming everything to you, your very breath. There is a path before you and it is lit by the light in your heart, a beacon for millions to follow and you blaze the trail before you with the consuming fire of the Holy Spirit.
He saved you, when you were lost. He rescued you, when your foes sought to overwhelm you. He sent eagles into the event, and you were lifted up above the din and darkness. You broke through the heavens on His love, coming into His presence by ascending the hill, after hearing His voice call out to you, “Come up here.” All things are possible for those that love God. It is His promise, a surety that your heart will always be encompassed by His love, His presence. Bring your offering to Him this day, let sound erupt from your heart and mouth, an overflow of that wellspring that He fixed in the lowest most part of your being. It is a never ending river that is meant to be released on a world that is desperately seeking Him. And some do not even know His name, but you do.
