dancing in the rain . . .
Matthew 1:17,18 “So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.”
Beloved,
Carry yourself with dignity and calm, letting gentleness be the attribute you are known for. Bring your offering to the Lord and lay it at His feet. Bless those around you and know that the Holy Spirit lives within you, breathing and having His way as you avail yourself to his leading. Surely every step that you take is ordained, when your life has been given to the King. Looking out the window, you realize it is raining. The rain has been coming for days now, and it saturates the ground. Rivers are running harder than they have, carrying sediment with it gained along the shore lines that it passes. The current cannot be held back, it flows following the path carved out for it. And you realize, so it is with you. This living water inside of you must be allowed to flow. The cry of your heart is for more of His presence, more of His love, more of His mercy. His promise is to fill you up to overflowing.
Your heart is a reservoir, that builds with intensity waiting to reach flood stage, breaking free of the bonds that hold it and the rapture of it all overwhelms you. Like a lover’s arms wrapped around you, so it is with the presence of Holy Spirit whose passion knows no limits. You are His delight, and He is the Lover of your soul. Want of touching another life with this love rises quickly within you. In the places that you walk, you know that you cannot leave such a place without first loving someone, through salvation or healing, through deliverance or provision, through lifting up and never tearing down. Your one word immediately flows from your heart, and is enough to set another’s life back on the righteous track. God is enough. Blessings come from your heart and overflow into lives that are desperately in need, many who have waited a long time.
Within just a few moments of spending time with this one or that one, who God has directed you ~ their lives are healed, and restored. Glory comes from such interactions with the lost and hurting, as you lift up praise and worship to the King for what He has done and will do. It is an object lesson of faith to thank God for that which has not been seen yet . .
Through it all, you hear the rain coming across the fields and forests, coming once again to fill you up. You take a deep breath in anticipation. You love God’s rain, and you find yourself dancing with the torrential down pour cascading down from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet. Saturation, more than enough to fill your heart and pour out onto those in need. The rain clothes you this day and your are beautiful beloved. It is a great day in the camp of the Lord, for stories are being told of all that Jesus has accomplished, in you and through you. Sing your praises, dance your dances for the King of Kings, the one you adore.
dancing in the rain . . . I will sing of the goodness of God
