Don’t Hesitate

Revelation 9:21 “Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”

Beloved,

In those days, as well as today — the Lord has authority over everything that was created by Him and for Him. The Father made Himself known to Abraham, Noah, and Moses — and through these men came the Truth of who God is. Yet the people that heard of such things, and saw His glory — still hesitate to drink from this vine, to taste and see.

In the day of the prophets, that came with God’s news — to repent and live within the heart of the Lord, that they would not perish but have an abundant life — still hesitated to lean on His Truth and went away hungry and alone.

Then the Father sent His only son Jesus to take on the sin of the world, both of the jew and the gentile. He came preaching the Love of the Father, His Good News and he fulfilled the writings of the Torah and the Old Testament — still the people hesitated, and then they nailed the only son of the Vineyard Owner to a tree and watched Him die. There they heard His Words too, of “Forgive them Father, for they don’t know what they are doing,” — still they hesitated to understand the Blood that poured out before them, and the ground drank that which was theirs.

Today, the Father still calls out to all His children, His sons and daughters, speaking the Truth of what His Son Jesus accomplished, taking the sin of the world and casting it deep into the sea never to be seen again — still, even though the gift is free, they hesitated and walked away filled with agony, sickness, and isolation.

Tomorrow, we do not know — for it is today that God says, “Come.” Our lives are not our own, but bought and paid for by the Blood of the Lamb on the Cross. And freedom came on the third day, when the Lamb walked out of the grave — bringing life to all that will receive it.

Still people hesitate to receive this free gift and say things like, “I am a good person that does good things.” And when you ask them, “What do you think will happen when you die?” Their response is, “Guess we will see.”

But then, it will be too late.

Still they hesitate.
