I stand at the door
Mark 12:28–31
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’There is no commandment greater than these.”
Beloved,
One. The singular of a Father who loves His sons and daughters and wants them restored, redeemed. The Righteous One, Jesus born of a virgin, sent to earth with one mission, go after the lost. Through the son’s act on the cross, mankind now has a door and it is always open . . . for now. We call it the harvest, the season we have been in for two-thousand years. It was not too long after Christ ascended to heaven, that four thousand came to believe in the Son of God. Birthed in the presence of the Holy Spirit, who draws mankind to the King, like a moth to a flame. Through Holy Spirit, we have counsel and wisdom, the righteousness of God living with our frame, directing our path, and orchestrating our steps.
It is a glorious event, having the Spirit of the Living God living within us, transforming us from the inside out, so that our heart becomes a temple, a place of habitation.
The three, but one — breaking down the walls put up by the enemy to keep us away from Heaven’s door. Jesus talked about such things, “I stand at the door and knock . . .” captures our imagination, and many open the door without hesitation. Realize that His love never expires, never grows tired, and is constant within our lives. He inspires hope through every day events, that take on significance when we realize and accept that Jesus is a part of every moment, every day. Be encouraged today beloved, grow into the man or woman you were destined to be. Use every lesson, every experience, and the reading of His Word (which is living), allowing this One to wash over you, cleansing you daily, forgiving sin, bringing all things new every morning.
I see mountains ahead for many; you will overcome and climb higher than ever before. Because we serve a God who walks on every mountain. Know that God waits for you at the top. Ascend this Holy Hill, find Him in the midst of your journey. When the enemy speaks, discard the devil’s falsehoods and continue on to the top where Truth waits. The valleys below these mountains, contain wonderful pools of living water, and food that never runs out. We are on an incredible adventure, and we will enjoy every exploit, because He is right there beside us.
Trust in the One, and declare praises for each. Breathe deep on Heaven’s rarified air. Worship God with all your soul, heart, strength and mind.
