I will come forth as gold
“But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.” Job 23:10–11
Beloved,
Worship the King who reigns forever more. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow — time without end.
The amazing promise in the Bible of God’s relentless pursuit of His beloved sets the stage dated three to four thousand years ago, is Job (boYa!), living among the patriarchs, experiencing God first hand. We are children of an ancient God, whose love never ends and creation waits upon His breath. There is within us a DNA, that speaks of our God and teaches us of His power and strength. It stirs the spirit within us, joined with Holy Spirit as counselor and advisor. The more we give of ourselves, denying those desires not of God, the closer to His heart we become. It is like a rushing wind within us, His breath continuing to breathe within us, until our flesh can take it no more, and we are given immortal bodies to live with Him forever.
Our hearts are not our own. Our blood sings of the Blood of His son Jesus, that pours out from the Cross, bringing the earth into alignment with heaven.
When trials come, there is nothing new under the sun. Our struggle is flesh, and sickness is not of His Spirit. Our bodies may suffer in pain and anguish, but the deposit within us overcomes all things, all obstacles. For boYa!, that distant relative of the Jewish faith, he faced the hardship placed upon him with determination and a faith (resolve) in the goodness of His God. His rejection of his brothers (friend’s) advice is not seen as a negative construct, but positive. It is about moving forward, and sometimes waiting in the ash and dirt for the Savior to step in with restoration and healing.
These days, we look for instant healing. And that is okay, for it was purchased at the Cross,. Remember that Jesus died for all, past, present, and future generations. Like Boaz, I believe boYa! to be a forerunner of our Lord, a reflection of the Son of God. The old testament prophets constantly remind us that redemption will come, has come, and still to come. In God’s timing there is never a delay. Even in the midst of pain and suffering, our help is always there, always flowing in us and through us. Every situation is covered by God.
As God watched over boYa! (Job), He saw in this man the virtue necessary to withstand the devil’s arrows, and still praise God. Everything of the enemy is intended to kill, steal, and destroy. Our response will always be, to live, hold onto, and create. Always repel the enemy’s advance, break its hold on you and your family, by cutting off its head. We stand in amazing times, to see God in the midst of every situation, understanding His wisdom in time of trouble, and yes to have compassion that translates into healing for those around you.
You have within you, the power to restore and heal, in the powerful name of Jesus, and through the stripes He suffered and the blood poured out.
