Hebrews 6:18–20 “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.”

Beloved,

Happy Ash Wednesday Beloved, when people everywhere reflect on the Goodness of God. Here and now, our Lord is forever High Priest that looks upon us not only as servants, but as friends.

Behold His beauty in the sanctuary today; spend time in His Loveliness — know our God intimately. Build on this foundation, who is our anchor. Let Glory rise up around you, like myst in a damp field, damp with His Blood that was poured out from the Cross — who took up our infirmities, and forever healed us.

As we forgo those things that hinder us in this season, reflect on the beauty — gaze upon it. Let it become a part of who you are, so that in 40 days or so — His beauty will remain in you and will hold you enthralled, captured by His Gaze. Let only one thing, have our attention in these days.

This anchor that holds us firm in the storm — even as the winds may blow around us and the rains pound the earth, flooding our minds with worldly things — we come back every time to His Beauty — knowing that within this Truth is all that we need. Every bit of food or drink to sustain us is in Him — He is the wine that never runs out and the bread is filled with Christ’s Fragrance.

Sing these praises to His Name today. Find yourself in His Arms, behind the veil in the sanctuary — where He calls you His son and daughter.
