the door with a heart on it
Deuteronomy 34:7 “And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.”
Beloved,
He says, “I will love you.” Relish the promise, the hope that are in these few words. We stand in a season of harvest, where prayers of the grandparents and great grandparents are being poured out and answered in unique and creative ways. That is His way. Beyond the scope of our earthly limitations comes the Bridegroom filling our hearts with gladness and rectifying what the enemy saw for harm. The valley of darkness has given way to a new day dawning. Light floods your soul lifting your spirit above reproach, breaking off old things. Notice the desire within your heart as the sunshine blankets your thoughts with a warm caress and His breath comes and fills your lungs with a rarified Kingdom air that has not been available before. Touch the shoulder of the person in front of you, and ask, “Can I pray for you?”
Whatever the need, God will be provide. He is the very sustenance feeding your hunger with words that became flesh and died on a cross thousands of years ago. Yield to the belief that God will be in your prayer and will heal the sick, give sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf. The lame will walk and cancer will bow to the Throne in Heaven at your command. You are truly seated in the heavenly place, where authority has been placed on your shoulders like a regal garment. It is everlasting, this love of His. It never runs out, and is a river of life running heavily in you and through you. Your age may not reach that of Moses, but it can. Instead of burning up those remaining hours of your life span in a nursing home, addled by any past physical or mental hardships. Reach into the storehouse, where reserve is found. The kingdom is filled with many such places. Reach into the house that has a heart on the door and bring out a new stronger, heaven infused organ that will beat for many years to come.
Just the knowledge of Christ is enough to write the invitation to celebrate as thousand upon thousands come into the Kingdom for the very first time. I speak to the those seniors, those over fifty, or sixty, or seventy. God has need of you, and you have been found worthy of this calling. Your boldness has been honed by years of experience walking through victory and defeat, through struggles and hardships. Let the world be astounded at the work of hands once thought feeble, or of those that have experienced mental issues, losing sight of who you are or memories of the past. God is doing a new thing in this season. Minds will be restored and hearts renewed. Weak limbs will grow strong, and balance once lost has been found, for God walks with you.
and Moses was a hundred and twenty . . .
Repeat this prayer with me, “As God was with Moses, so is He with me. My eyes are not dim; neither are my natural forces abated. Blessed are my eyes for they see and my ears for they ear. My thoughts will no longer be addled and my balance has returned. I am strong in the Lord, for His promises is when I am weak, He is strong.” Amen
