2 Samuel 5:20 “And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The Lord hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.”

Psalm 87:1–3 “His foundation is in the holy mountains. The Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God.” Selah!

Beloved,

The Lord is filled with unending love and He will pour out on you. In those moments, when the world has gone silent and you have stepped into your quiet place, the Lord will meet with you. Return to that first love, that most intimate moment when you first said, “I do.” In that time, you leaned your head against Jesus chest for the very first time and you heard His heart beat. It took your breath away. His embrace is like nothing else that can be imagined, the security and comfort from His closeness sometimes is indescribable.

You are like a flower that has come up from the ground. Once a seed that laid dormant until the required time, and God called you forth. A twig broke through the ground and pressed upward, reaching for the light. From that single strand, you sprouted a stem that carried buds and fragrance even before the blossom. His rain began to pour out, and you heard a song, a new song within you that made the petals spread and open. Established in this place, you are immovable, with roots going deep to drink from clear water refined in countless orifices of the earth.

Then the fragrance was released beyond your seed, beyond the stem, and the petals. The wind carried your presence into other realms, and the breath that you breathed was scented with a sweet gladness. But with all things mortal, life is but a breath and soon the petals fell, one by one. The stem withered and died, your roots became part of the soil enriching the nutrients, so that others will live strong and fragrant.

There was this essence, that had been deposited within your heart at the moment of conception and belief. The flower released its soul to the one that loved it so, and a new body was given to it as it was translated from mortal to eternal and your identity gained on the earth and named by God, whether a rose or a petunia, became so much more in the Father’s presence. He took you in His arms and handed you to His Son the Bridegroom, and at that exact moment your were transfigured into the radiant Bride dressed in white.

And you look back at the flower you once were, and the fragrance that you shared with all mankind. It was then that you realized the fragrance was alive and now living deep within your being, and understanding shook your life. Your fragrance is just like His.
