We Ache for You
Psalm 48:9,10 and 14 “We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple. According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.”
“For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.”
Song of Songs 4:6,7 “Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense. Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.”
Beloved,
It is a moment, where all realization and revelation become a confluence of rivers, where the Lord’s identity comes into a sparkling clarity. And all I can say is, “Lord, you’re beautiful!” The heart of man, was designed for great things, including becoming the most Holy temple in which the Lord of Heaven and Earth dwell. It becomes that most high place, and our duty is to guard the door, letting only Heaven enter.
We are a Bride adorned in radiant white, and perfumed with the fragrance of Christ, like Mary who washed Jesus feet and anointed His head with the contents of her Alabaster Jar. Even in that aster moment, Heaven and Earth collided and the Kingdom of Heaven invaded a home. It left those in attendance, with questions that still haunt us today. “Does He not know who it is that washes His feet?” or “How dare she enter this house?”
Truly, this event is supposed to be spoken about frequently, where ever the Gospel is preached. What she did in that moment, was prepare the Master for the Cross, and acknowledge on earth who He was. Belief came to Mary that day, and many in attendance eventually understood. Faith is like that, choosing who it may live in. This is Holy Spirit, our counselor that lives inside everyone of us. He brings this story full circle, by washing our feet, preparing us for our cross.
It was just like Him (Jesus) that echoed from the resurrection, that we too must pick up our cross and journey on, taking the Truth to the ends of the earth. Be bold in these things, carry the Alabaster Jar with you and break it over those that are destitute, in harms way, hungry and thirsty. Let Christ’s fragrance fill the room. You are that Alabaster Jar, and all of Heaven wait for you to pour out oil on those around you. You have the ingredients that will change the course of history.
Be bold, be the Alabaster Jar.
“Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.”
