When meekness becomes a force

Psalm 44:1, 26 “We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.” “Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies’ sake.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13 “ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”

Beloved,

Justice and defense are in the wind. You embrace that which is true, and increase the hunger within your soul for the things of God. There is nothing that you would not do, to achieve that which is Holy. Righteousness is the price before you, and you have sold everything to possess it. Let Glory be released in your worship, that touches the face of God.

Surely, Christ dwells in your heart and it is faith that breaks the doubts of those around you. There may be voices ahead that will try to distract what God is doing in you, but stay the course, for like a wind in a storm, you speak peace and calm into every situation. Be strengthened in the days before you, so that the Love of Christ will have a home that fills to overflowing and impacts a world just outside your door step.

You have been grafted in to the family of Christ; nothing will separate you from this place. Humility has taken its place in you, and the meekness becomes a force that darkness cannot subject to its desires. A cornerstone has been established within you, built on the Word of God, that has been breathed into your heart. Never lack in the resources of Heaven, it is a perpetual provision that never runs out. And every morning is made new. This knowledge creates a tide within the river, that sets its eyes on new lands to be touched by the razor of God.

The Sword of the Spirit sits firmly in the hands of the Shepherd. He brings the sheep through safely, even though wolves howl and make noise to frighten them. They hear the Master’s voice and know the peace that passes understanding and they trust. These are the stories that the fathers witnessed of and shared in the assembly. Lean into the trust created through such faith, it will never let you down.
