Proverbs 3:13–24 “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew. My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.”

Beloved,

Again, I say to you, wrap wisdom about your neck like a garland, and never let it go. In this trusting relationship, there is intimacy and it beckons to you day and night. In the depths of this powerful spirit, are the foundations of God’s truth. Without her, you would be lost and joy would be a distant longing. But, your heart has become its home, and you ponder the presence of the Spirit that lives and breathes within you. At times, the Spirit speaks and comes as a mighty wind and reaches those around you that have been influenced by your love and Christ is praised in the midst of the words spoken. You have learned to trust this voice that speaks within your heart and as you take direction, your steps do not stumble. As a light before your feet, you see clearly and all concerns become less.

Our hearts fill with the love of heaven, of a Father that sent His only son Jesus to rescue us. And He called it the joy set before Him as he went to the Cross. How can this be? This device of torture would be looked upon as joy, for He could hear the Spirit’s voice clearly without any distraction or disruption, and knew the Truth of what He was to do. Surely every step He took, was ordained by the Father who sent Him, and He heard His voice clearly, day in and day out. Fear had no place in His heart, for He boldly picked up His cross and went to His death. His death on that Cross reinforced the power of the Spirit, for the tomb where they laid Him is empty and the stone that covered its entrance had been tossed aside. This fruit, the joy that is conceived in the depths of our being, is released in you today. You will have enough, in season and out of season.

When hard times are prevalent in your life, the struggle is not yours but His. And He speaks through the Spirit that lives within your heart and soul. His comfort is beyond your expectations, and He shores you up, and your weak legs become strong and frail arms become mighty. He is with you in the good times as well, and it is your praise and worship that speaks loud in those moments. Exercise the hope that is within you, and when difficulty assails your life, like the mountains before, remove them from your way with the Word of God. These words have found a place in you, and they flourish under the Wisdom that has been grafted on the walls of your heart. They illuminate the love within you, and your are able to share the Gospel in ways never before thought possible. Listen, when Wisdom Speaks.
